On September 29, 2017 we visited the Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage with lots of healthy food, and some fun gifts for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Loc Tho provides free primary schooling for neighborhood children whose parents cannot afford the costs of public school. Costs such as school uniforms, textbooks, backpacks, shoes, and school supplies are all provided free to the students, and classes are held with accredited teachers. The nuns at Loc Tho are committed to ensuring these wonderful children receive an education.
Loc Tho also provides free breakfast and lunch to the children, and on this visit, we brought lots of extra healthy food supplements to ensure they receive a nutritious diet. We brought packages of soy products, bags of tofu, packages of yogurt, meat cakes, cans of sardines, bags of mushrooms, seasonings, shampoo, and dental products.
Because the Mid-Autumn Festival is upon us, we also brought some extra surprises for the children. This is a fun holiday for children in Vietnam, as they get to eat yummy traditional snacks, and parade about with traditional lanterns. In addition to healthy food, we also brought packages of moon cakes and lanterns for the children. The children were very excited to see the lanterns, and have some of the snacks that our team brought.
This visit was made possible through the continued kindness of Lloyd and Esther.
Thank you!!!
