In May 2022 we visited with the children at the Thien Tam Orphanage and brought lots of food and general supplies. We are in regular contact with the orphanage caretakers and ensure they have everything they need to care for the children. This month, they gave us a detailed list of items they needed, and we organized a visit. Our team of volunteers did lots of shopping at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to see the children.
The children were excellent helpers and stacked all of the provisions on a table in the courtyard. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, sugar, shallots, bottles of cooking oil, soy sauce, seasonings, packages of glass noodles, pork, racks of eggs, yogurt drinks, milk, laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo, and soap. As a fun treat, we also brought ice cream for the children to enjoy.

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
