During our monthly visit to the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children this October 2026, we had the privilege of fulfilling a special request from the center’s dedicated caretaking team: replacing the well-loved tables in the common room.
For years, the existing tables served as the backdrop for daily study sessions, arts and crafts projects, shared meals, and continuous activities. Thanks to our community’s support, we delivered six brand-new, sturdy metal tables featuring smooth, durable tops designed to handle everything the children throw their way.
Hands-On Teamwork and Monthly Essentials
The excitement was immediate upon the delivery truck’s arrival. The children eagerly joined our team outside to help unwrap the packaging and carry each table into the main study room.
In addition to the new furniture, we replenished the home’s essential monthly supplies, dropping off:
- Cleaning and washing items
- Bulk packages of rice noodles
- Durable metal drinking cups
A Celebration to Remember
To mark the occasion and make the afternoon extra bright, our team brought along balloons, popsicles, and yogurt cups. Seeing the children enjoy their treats around their new study space made it a truly heartwarming day.
With Heartfelt Gratitude
This visit and delivery were made possible through the wonderful generosity of a supportive family in the USA, Roger Pucket, and Steven Burger, alongside contributions from an anonymous donor in honor of St. Raphael and an anonymous donor in loving memory of Hue Hao Nguyen. Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for continuing to bring comfort, care, and practical help to the children at Thua Sai Home!
ABOUT THE THUA SAI HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving home to these wonderful children.
