During our October visit to Thien An Charity Home, our team returned for another wonderful day connecting with the children and their dedicated caretakers.

To ensure every contribution had the maximum impact, we coordinated directly with the facility staff beforehand to create a checklist of their most urgent daily necessities. Armed with their specific request list, we headed to local markets and loaded our delivery van to the brim!

Essential Supplies and Household Provisions

The energy and laughter on the playground were contagious as our van pulled up and we began unloading this month’s provisions. Thanks to the steady generosity of our community, we supplied a comprehensive mix of nutrition, pantry staples, and sanitation items:

  • Nutritional Staples & Food: 50-kilo bags of rice, packages of sausages, flour, cooking oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and various seasoning packages
  • Nutritious Snacks & Beverages: Flavored milk, yogurt, snack cakes, jelly, and fresh-prepared sweet coconut drinks for an afternoon treat
  • Hygiene & Facility Supplies: Laundry detergent, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, general cleaning supplies, kitchen aprons, and garbage bags

Preparing and serving the sweet coconut drinks was a highlight of the day, bringing plenty of smiles and fun for all the children.

With Sincere Gratitude

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Steven Burger and Brain Collins, as well as our entire donor community. Your ongoing kindness directly provides the nutrition, comfort, and everyday joy these children deserve. Thank you for walking alongside us in this work!

ABOUT THE THIEN AN CHARITY HOME

This loving place is located in the hilly countryside of Khanh Hoa province. There are very few daycare facilities in this region and illiteracy among children is high. The local Thien An Catholic Church sought to help the children complete get a head start on their schooling, so started the Thien An Charity Home as a daycare and kindergarten for youngsters. The children are cared for during the day and receive free meals in a communal dining hall. There’s playground equipment and classrooms so the children can all receive the education they richly deserve.
