On March 30, 2017 we completed our construction project at the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. Thua Sai is a loving home for children who suffer from neurological and mental disorders, and also cares for several deaf children. These children all come from poor families who cannot afford specialized care. Parents bring their children to Thua Sai, where they receive compassionate care and education during the week from the loving nuns at the center.
The heavy rains last winter caused widespread destruction throughout Vietnam. At Thua Sai, the flood waters eroded the foundations of the center’s outer wall, causing sections of the wall to crumble and break. When the nuns asked us for help, we put together a project to rebuild the wall. On March 30th, the project was complete, and we’re happy to see a new sturdy wall protecting the children at Thua Sai. This project was funded through the Lovingkindness Vietnam general fund.
