August brought a huge reason to celebrate at Nhan Ai Orphanage! Education is at the heart of our mission, but as the largest orphanage we partner with, meeting their annual educational expenses is always a daunting challenge.
Thanks to our amazing donor community, we recently met with the nuns at Nhan Ai to share incredible news: we are fully sponsoring the education costs for every single child for the upcoming school year.
Their excitement was palpable, and the impact is immediate. This year’s sponsorship covers:
- Brand new school uniforms for every child
- Complete textbook sets for all grade levels
- Essential school supplies, backpacks, and footwear
- All required school fees
- Several new bicycles for the children to share on their daily commute
The nuns recently sent back wonderful photos of the children proudly wearing their new uniforms, ready and equipped for a successful year ahead.
This massive undertaking was only possible because of the generosity of our donors Steven Burger, Eamonn Gahan, and an anonymous donor. Thank you for empowering these children and opening doors to a brighter future through education!
ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE
Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home. Several times a year, the nuns at the Nhan Ai Orphanage also arrange to assist poor communities in their area.
