On March 23, 2017 we visited the Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage with lots of healthy food supplements, some toys, and snacks. Run by the nuns of the Loc Tho pagoda, the charity school offers free primary school to neighborhood youngsters whose families cannot afford the costs of public schooling. Classes are taught by accredited teachers, and the school provides the children with uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, and daytime meals.
Our team brought healthy food for the children’s meals, including dried mushrooms, soy products, bags of beans, cheese, milk, vegetarian meat cakes, small toys, diapers, and snacks. Our volunteers came into the classrooms, and the children were very happy to take a small break and get little bags of snacks. This trip was made possible through the continued devotion of Lloyd and Esther.
