In April 2022 we visited the Anh Dao Orphanage with lots of food and general supplies. Anh Dao is a large orphanage with many mouths to feed. To make sure they have everything they need, we stay in regular contact with the nuns, and visit every month or so. For April, we spoke to the head nun and made a comprehensive list of items to buy. Our team did all the shopping locally, then loaded up a van for the drive north into Ninh Hoa.

The children met our group outside and helped carry everything inside. Such great helpers! On this visit, we brought bags of rice, bean curd sheets, tofu products, cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, hot sauce, bags of dried mushrooms, sausages, meat patties, boxes of noodles, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, laundry detergent, and dish soap.

As a fun surprise for the children, we handed out comic books and coloring books, then everyone had watermelon as a nice cool snack.

This wonderful gift was made possible through the kindness of a family in the USA. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE ANH DAO ORPHANAGE

Founded in 2004 by the Buddhist nun Thich Nu An Son, a large group of orphans are cared for at this wonderful home in Ninh Hoa, 62 kilometers north of Nha Trang. Visit the orphanage and you’ll find a well-organized and loving environment. The children are happy, and it’s a joy to sit, talk, and play with the little ones. To help provide nourishment to the children, and as a small means of earning funds, Sister An Son tends a small farm behind the orphanage, in front of the girl’s living quarters. The children eat the vegetables that are grown here, and the surplus can be sold to help pay for monthly expenses.
