On March 8, 2014 we celebrated Women’s Day at the Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage. At Loc Tho this was a great reason to celebrate the school’s teachers. The children at Loc Tho come from poor families who cannot afford the costs of sending their children to public schools. School fees, uniforms, books, and school supplies are beyond their means. Loc Tho offers free schooling to these children, and the teachers at Loc Tho earn a meager salary for their efforts. The children were so thankful that they prepared an elaborate ceremony for their teachers on Women’s Day. They created hand-made decorations, presented their teacher’s with bouquets of flowers, and performed three lovely dances. The materials and gifts were all provided by kindhearted donations from Richard and Marjorie of the USA. Thank you!
