In June 2025, we hosted a memorable end-of-year party at the Loc Tho Charity School. Collaborating closely with the school caretakers, we organized a special day filled with food, essential supplies, and fun activities for the children.

Upon our arrival, the children eagerly helped us unload and stack a month’s worth of provisions. These included staples like rice, sweet rice, ramen, sugar, and cooking oil, along with a variety of mushrooms, vegan pork, vegan fish sauce, vegan meat patties, and vegan chicken. We also brought milk, seasonings, and cleaning products to support the school’s daily needs.

Afterward, the entire school gathered in the main courtyard, taking a break from their studies. Our team led a variety of engaging games, filling the air with laughter and smiles. To cap off the celebration, we served refreshing iced boba tea to all the children, and each child received a gift bag filled with snacks. It was truly a fantastic day for everyone involved!

This heartwarming charity trip was made possible by the generous contributions of: Anh Vo, Bellisa Bui, David and Trini Nguyen, Nicole Londt, Linh Lam, Shaun Minn, Vanessa Nguyen, Dao Giving Fund, Alysha Sims, Koshu Takatsuji, Kateryna Lo, Daniel Cole, Linh Lam, Littlechad Newfield, and Luanne Lemmer. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make this trip a success and brought so much joy to the children of Loc Tho Charity School.

ABOUT THE LOC THO CHARITY SCHOOL

The Loc Tho Charity School, established in 1991 by Sister Thich Nu Dieu Y, has a long-standing history of providing free education to underprivileged children. Sister Dieu Y dedicated her life to this cause, and after her passing in 2014, the compassionate nuns of the Loc Tho Pagoda have continued her incredible work.

This primary school offers a vital service to the community, providing a free education for children whose families cannot afford public schooling. The school covers all expenses, including textbooks, uniforms, shoes, school supplies, and teachers’ fees, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn. Beyond academics, Loc Tho Charity School also provides breakfast and lunch for its students and offers a nurturing home for several orphans and foster children.
