On January 31, 2015 we had a Tet party at the Mai Am Anh Dao Orphanage. This was the second trip sponsored by JL Support Services to bring Tet to the orphans. Our coordinator, Khanh, brought some basic necessities that Sister An Son had said they were in need of, including noodles, porridge, sweet rice, sugar, cooking oil, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, dish soap, toothpaste, milk, beans, and other household supplies. For the Tet party, Khanh brought snacks, soft drinks, jam, watermelon seeds, sunflower seeds, balloons, and small toys.
First, the children all received red envelopes of lucky money. Next, they did some arts and crafts, and made a thank you sign. Lots of games and activities came next, including being a Tet dragon, fun with balloons, blind man’s bluff, and then fun with hair styles.
Thank you JL Support Services for bringing Tet to the orphans!
