On April 8, 2016 we brought a much-needed gift to the Dai An Orphanage. Dai An is a wonderful and loving home for very young orphans, located in the peaceful countryside of Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. An oft forgotten aspect of caring for 30 orphans is the daily task of doing laundry. The caregivers at Dai An have had to do all the laundry by hand, which for 30 young children can be an all-consuming task. On this visit, we presented the orphanage with a surprise gift that had the caregivers clapping their hands and jumping for joy: a new washing machine.

The young children were adorable, and crowded around the washing machine as if it were a new toy to explore. It’s the first time that any of the orphans had even seen one, and they were fascinated by the possibilities.

This invaluable gift to the orphanage was made through the kind donations of Sharon Kelly and Stephen Milne.

Thank you!!!
