On November 24, 2019 we visited the Thien Tam Orphanage with essential supplies and some yummy surprises for the children. We had reached out to the caretakers and made a list of their immediate needs. Our team bought everything at local markets, loaded up a truck, and drove out to the orphanage.
When we arrived, the children were in the classroom getting extra tutoring. They took a break from their studies to help stack the supplies in the courtyard. We brought 6 large bags of rice, bottles of soy sauce, bottles of fish sauce, condensed milk, cans of sardines, canned meats, instant noodles, bags of nuts, a variety of seasonings, laundry detergent, dish soap, and toiletries.
As a surprise, we handed out bags of sweet popcorn to the children. We then spent some time with the caretakers and the children, snacking on popcorn together.

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
