In mid-November 2019 we visited the Suoi Cat Charity Home with essential supplies and a yummy treat for the children. The nuns at the Home gave us a list of items they were in need of, and we bought everything and organized a trip. The girls met our team in the courtyard and helped carry everything inside. We brought milk, bottles of Siracha, a variety of seasonings, wash clothes, laundry detergent, dish soap, cleaning supplies, a new hot water cooker, and a cooler.

As a fun treat, we handed out sweet breads and balloons to make it a festive visit. Lots of fun!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Jack Malone-Povolny and Nicole Malone Arne. Thank you!!!

Suoi Cat is a poor community to the west of Nha Trang, composed of rural farming hamlets that live in poverty. The Suoi Cat Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The home is composed of young children and teenage girls, who stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The children attend public school and receive tutoring and extra lessons at the home.
