In early February 2018 we brought lots of essential supplies and Tet surprises to the Anh Dao Orphanage. Anh Dao is a large orphanage in Ninh Hoa, to the north of Nha Trang, that cares for children of all ages. The lunar new year, Tet, is the biggest holiday of the year in Vietnam, and we endeavor to bring the holiday joy to the orphans. Traditions include eating Tet treats and children receiving red envelopes of lucky money. Poor orphanages cannot often afford to give the children the traditions of the holiday, which is where we come in.

After talking with Sister An Son, we brought supplies the orphanage was in need of, including bottles of cooking oil, bags of beans, bags of rice, vegan packages, yogurt, milk, laundry detergent, cleaning products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and boxes of noodles. For the orphanage’s Tet celebration, we brought lots of traditional foods, treats, and drinks. Each orphan also received their own red envelope of lucky money to mark the new year. It was a wonderful visit!

This trip was made possible through the kind donations of Juli and Kyle.

Thank you!!!
