On April 24, 2016 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage in downtown Nha Trang. Sunflower cares for close to 30 orphans aged 10-18, and its sister orphanage, Dai An, cares for orphans younger than 10 years of age. Sunflower is located in the heart of Nha Trang, and provides a loving home for these youngsters.
On this visit, we brought lots of basic necessities, such as rice, noodles, milk, condensed milk, cooking oil, soy sauce, dental supplies, cleaning products, bathroom supplies, and snacks. As is often the case with our visits to Sunflower, the older teens were shy to come out and greet visitors, but some of the younger ones and spent time with our volunteers.
