In April 2023 we had a fun visit to the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. We had contacted the caretakers and asked if there was anything special they were in need of this month. They said that the small ball house in the courtyard needed new plastic balls, as the old ones were very old and many were broken. Our team jumped into action and organized everything.

Our team drove out to the home with many large bags of the ball house balls, plus lots of food and general supplies for the month. We brought flour, packages of pho, boxes of ramen, egg noodles, rice crackers, soy sauce, sugar, milk, fish sauce, pork, oranges, and trash cans.

The children carried the plastic balls out to the playground and emptied them all into the ball house. Then the children went inside and had lots of fun! Afterwards, our team made kem flan with crushed ice and coffee syrup for all the children to enjoy. It was a lovely day!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Tuan Nguyen, Elaine Nguyen, Fred Sims, Kirk Nguyen, and a family in the USA. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE THUA SAI HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving home to these wonderful children.
