In August 2023 we brought lots of food and general supplies to the Dai An Orphanage. We had reached out to the orphanage caretakers and learned of their needs for the month. Our team of volunteers in Nha Trang took the shopping list to local markets, bought everything the orphanage needed, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to see the children.
When we arrived, the children helped stack everything on a table next to the gardens. Then everyone gathered together. On this visit, we brought racks of eggs, bags of rice, milk, fresh vegetables, packages of noodles, pork, meat pies, fish, shrimp, squid, fish pies, cooking oil, quail eggs, and brooms.
As a fun treat, we also brought sweet cakes for everyone to enjoy. Our team then spent some time at the orphanage, talking with the caretakers and children, and visiting the gardens. It was a lovely day!
This charity trip was made possible though the kind donations from Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE
The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
