In mid-June 2019 we visited the children at the Dai An Orphanage with essential supplies and some fun treats. Dai An is a loving home to a large group of young orphans, located in a peaceful country setting to the south of Nha Trang. We contacted the caretakers and asked about their current needs, then organized a visit.
We brought a variety of seasonings, condensed milk, toiletries, and a variety of cleaning products. The children helped carry everything inside and stack it all in the main common room. We then went into the kitchen and prepared a yummy treat for the children, dong suong, which is a kind of chocolate pudding with gelatin. Some of the orphans helped us prepare bowls of dong suong and the children sat around enjoying their treat. Our team spent some time at the orphanage and watched as the children played games. It was a very fun visit!
