On January 23, 2016 we made a visit to the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang with general supplies and provisions for the upcoming Tet celebration. After talking with the caregivers to learn what their immediate needs were, we brought mosquito nets, bags of rice, noodles, mushrooms, cooking oil, soy sauce, cleaning supplies, and detergent.

Tet is the Vietnamese new year, and is the biggest holiday of the year. While most houses in Nha Trang have big Tet parties, poor orphanages such as Sunflower can rarely offer the orphans the traditional food that is customary with the new year. On this visit, we also brought ingredients for Tet cakes, candies, cashew nuts, soda, and fruit drinks, ensuring the orphanage can truly have a Tet celebration for the children.

This visit was made possible through the kind generosity of Mr. Tri Pham. Thank you!!!
