On September 21-22, 2015 we visited 3 places with gifts.
In addition to working with Lovingkindness Vietnam, our coordinator Hiep also assists the charity Project Healthy Smile, which promotes oral hygiene in developing countries, and we have been fortunate to help facilitate their efforts in the area around Nha Trang. For this trip, Hiep brought dental supplies and lessons on dental care to the Kim Son Charity School, the Thien Tam Orphanage, and the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. Thank you Project Healthy Smile!
On the same visits, Hiep brought many holiday gifts to the children. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a fun holiday for children, as they get to carry paper lanterns, watch dragon dances, and eat delicious moon cakes. Poor families often can’t afford these, but through the kind donations of an amazing group of people, we brought the Mid-Autumn Festival to the Kim Son Charity School, the Thien Tam Orphanage, and the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. The children all received lanterns and moon cakes, and got to act out their own dragon dances.
Bringing the holiday to these wonderful children is thanks donations made by Dane Sawmiller, Daniel Cole, Chris Hammock & the Art(is)t Movement, Hien Nguyen, Alan Nguyen, Nhu Le, and Talk Southeast Asia.
THANK YOU!!!
