On February 2, 2017 we brought a little bit of Tet to the children at the Dai An Orphanage. Dai An is a loving home to young orphans, set in the peaceful countryside outside of Nha Trang. The Vietnamese new year is the biggest holiday of the year, and one of the traditions that children look forward to is receiving red envelopes of lucky money. We were very happy to be able to give each of the orphans their own red envelope of lucky money, to feel some of the fun of the holiday. We also gave the caregivers funds to buy everything needed for traditional Tet foods, such as ‘banh Tet’. This fun visit was made possible through the kindness of Sharon Kelly and Stephen Milne.
Last month, we provided new book shelves and desks for the orphanage’s classrooms. It took a while to install everything and put books on the shelves, but we were happy to call the project a success just in time for Tet. These were all provided by JL Support Services.
Thank you!!!
