On February 14, 2018 we brought a Tet surprise to the children of the Nhan Ai Orphanage. Nhan Ai is a large orphanage in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, that supports children of all ages. The nuns at the orphanage provide a loving home for over 120 children, and depend on donations for survival. We had made a previous visit to the orphanage for Tet, and on this second visit we brought a special tradition to welcome the new year. Every year in Vietnam, children are given red envelopes of lucky money at Tet, which bring good luck to the giver and receiver for the whole year. We wanted the wonderful children of Nhan Ai to experience this tradition, so arranged for every child to receive their own lucky red envelope. The children were so surprised! We were also lucky enough to see the children in traditional clothes performing a Tet dance.
This special gift for the children was made possible through the kind donations of Hanh Le and Vincent Phan.
Thank you!!!
