In Fall 2021, we were very happy to provide support for a number of different projects at the Nhan Ai Orphanage.
First, the nuns told us they were going to have outfits made for all the children, and we said we’d like to sponsor the project. Seamstresses came out to the orphanage with rolls of fabric, and created custom clothes for the children. We have pictures of the children gathered with the rolls of fabric, and the seamstress taking their measurements.
Next, we helped fund construction costs of a new bathroom project. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we support, and with so many children to care for, they were in need of expanding their facilities. It took several months to complete, and the new bathrooms will be much appreciated by the children.
Finally, we made a detailed list of food and general supplies the orphanage was in need of, and had it all delivered. The children gathered in the courtyard, and we arranged to have ice cream popsicles handed out to everyone. It was a very fun series of visits!
These projects and charity trips to the orphanage were made possible through the kindhearted donations of Hanh Duong, Eamonn Gahan, and the BEI Foundation. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE
Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home.
