On August 18, 2017 we visited the Song Lo Orphanage and sponsored the education of all the orphans. Song Lo is a small orphanage in a peaceful country setting to the west of Nha Trang. With the school year approaching, the nuns at Song Lo must pay the many costs of the children’s education. This includes buying new school uniforms, textbooks, shoes, backpacks, school supplies, and paying school fees. On this visit, we brought everything the children would need for the upcoming school year, and paid all their school fees. The nuns were so happy!
Our husband and wife team of Nhan and Loan, accompanied by some of their friends, gathered all the supplies in the orphanage’s common room. They handed out new clothes, treats, and balloons to the children, who immediately started exploring their new shoes and backpacks. Our group then spent some time talking with the nuns and touring the grounds. It was a very fun visit!
