In January 2025 we brought Lunar New Year joy to the Nhan Ai Orphanage community. As the biggest holiday of the year, the nuns at Nhan Ai put up lots of decorations all over the orphanage every year. It becomes a magical place! The cost of everyday items always goes up at the holidays, putting a strain on poor families. Another tradition at Nhan Ai is putting together gifts bags of food and general supplies for poor families in the community surrounding the orphanage. This year, we were happy to contribute to these efforts.

Families gathered at the orphanage, and received their gift bags. Afterwards, the nuns sent us many pictures of the children dressed in new clothes around the many decorations. Happy New Year!

This wonderful day was made possible through donations from Steven Burger, Eamonn Gahan, David and Trini Nguyen, Son Nguyen, Nicole Londt, Long Pham, Bichlien Nguyen, Jamie Tran, Cuong Vo, and Louis-Duc Piette. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE

Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home. Several times a year, the nuns at the Nhan Ai Orphanage arrange to assist poor communities in their area.
