In May 2023 we provided lots of food to the Phu Quang Orphanage. We spoke to the head nun at the orphanage and learned which items they needed for the month. She gave us a detailed list, and we arranged for local shops to have everything delivered directly to the orphanage. The children were excellent helpers and carried it all into the main common room.
For this charity effort, we brought many bags of rice, bottles of cooking oil, milk, soy sauce, packages of cereal, seaweed, packages of vegan ramen, strawberry yogurt drinks, and laundry detergent.
As a delicious snack on a hot day, we also brought iced sugar cane drinks for everyone to enjoy. So fun!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE
The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment.
