On September 5, 2012 new uniforms and books were brought to the Loc Tho Charity School. The fifth of September marks the first day of school in Vietnam, and Loc Tho had an opening day ceremony to commemorate the occasion. The children sang songs and even performed their own lion dance. Parents and teachers were on hand, and our Lead Coordinator, Hiep, arranged for brand new uniforms and books to be given to each child.
The Loc Tho Charity School is run by the nuns at the Loc Tho pagoda, west of Nha Trang. They provide free primary schooling for underprivileged youngsters in the area. This donation was entirely due to the continued support of Richard and Marjorie, their family and friends. Thank you once again for your kindness!
