On November 20, 2012 the Loc Tho Pagoda celebrated Teacher’s Day. The pagoda provides free primary schooling for neighborhood children in this poor community, and Teacher’s Day offers children the opportunity to thank their teachers for all that they’ve done. There are over 80 children at the school, plus about 10 orphans being cared for at the pagoda.

Gifts for the teachers and volunteer teaching assistants were provided entirely through the donations of Richard and Marjorie. The day of celebration was a result of their kindness. The children performed a lion dance, sang songs, and danced for their teachers. It was a wonderful day, and we thank Richard and Marjorie for their continued support.
