On May 5, 2018 we had a fun visit at the Suoi Cat Charity Home & School. Located far from any major city, the Suoi Cat region has significant poverty. The Suoi Cat Charity Home & School is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The home is composed of young children and teenage girls, who stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall.
We called the nuns who run the home about their most pressing needs, and they had a detailed list for us, including new water purifiers so the children could have clean drinking water. We organized the trip and our team brought everything that was requested. We brought 6 water purifiers and dispensers, mop and bucket sets, garbage cans, snacks and balloons.
When our team arrived, the girls at the home helped carry everything inside, then everyone worked to put the water purifiers together. We handed out snacks and balloons, and the children then sang songs and played some fun games with our volunteers. A very fun visit!
This trip was made possible through the kindness of a family in the USA.
Thank you!!!
