In early October 2018 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage with essential supplies and rain gear. Sunflower is a loving home to mostly teenage orphans located the heart of Nha Trang. The cool rainy season is approaching, and the orphanage’s caretakers had some special requests. In addition to some general supplies we also brought items to help the children in the rainy season.
On this visit we brought rain ponchos, umbrellas, waterproof sandals, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, toiletries, bags of sticky rice, boxes of noodles, packages of markers, and snacks for the children. After gathering in the common room, the children put on their sandals and some of the younger ones tried on the rain ponchos.
