In July 2023 we brought lots of food and general supplies to the Thien Tam Orphanage. We reached out to the caretakers and made a detailed list of items they needed for the month. Our team of volunteers did all the shopping at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to the orphanage.
As always, the children were excellent helpers in carrying everything into the courtyard and stacking it all on the long lunch table. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, bottles of cooking oil and soy sauce, white noodles, fish, pork, seasonings, condensed milk, sugar, yogurt, shampoo, and insect spray.
As a fun snack, we prepared sweet bread, drinks, and fresh fruit for everyone at the orphanage to enjoy. It was a lovely visit with the children!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 12 young children.
