On June 6, 2018 we took the children of the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children on a field trip. Thua Sai is a loving home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. Located in the countryside of Cam Ranh, the nuns at Thua Sai provide for the children and offer a nurturing home.

We wanted to give the children a special treat, so organized an all-day visit to the sights of Nha Trang. The children all got orange shirts to help up keep the group together, and were joined by the nuns of Thua Sai, volunteer caregivers, and some of the children’s parents. Our first stop was a small amusement park in the city center, where the children got to play on rides and a bouncy house. Next, they stopped briefly at the local Jolly Bee restaurant, and danced with the Jolly Bee mascot, who was a great sport with the children. The children then visited Nha Trang’s famous beach for some running about. Next came a stop at an ice cream shop. Finally, we brought the children to the Oceanographic Institute, which houses aquariums and museums. It was a fun day for everyone!

This amazing field trip for the children was made possible through the kind donations of Juli and Kyle.

Thank you!!!
