In mid-April 2020 we brought lots of essential supplies to the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children. Due to the virus in the region, many parents are keeping their children home. For those who still come to Hy Vong, the nuns are not allowing any outside visitors so as to keep the children safe. We wanted to make sure they had all the essential supplies they needed during this trying time, so coordinated with the nuns to help bring them everything they required.

The children all wore masks, as did our volunteers. On this visit, we brought dried fish, dried shrimp, rice, sausages, seasonings, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and hand sanitizer. The children all come from poor families, and we also prepared bags of food and clothing for each child to bring back to their homes. As a special treat, we prepared a yummy fruit drink for all the children. It was a lovely visit!

This wonderful gift was made possible through the kindness of a family in the USA. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE HY VONG HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

Located in the Suoi Cat district to the west of Nha Trang, the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders and disabilities whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving and caring environment for a group of amazing children.
