On April 26, 2020 we had a fun visit and birthday party at the Thien Tam Orphanage. We everyone being cautious about COVID-19, we wanted to make sure Thien Tam had everything they needed in this difficult time. We contacted the caretakers and made a list of essential supplies. Our team went to local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage.
On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of pho noodles, lots of fresh vegetables, bags of dried squid, bags of dried fish, frozen meats, bottles of sauces and oils, bags of white noodles, and lots of seasonings.
As a special surprise, we also brought birthday cakes to celebrate 2 of the children’s birthdays and presents for everyone. The children sat at the table and had a birthday party. So fun!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
