On October 21, 2018 we made a big visit to the Anh Dao Orphanage. Anh Dao is a large orphanage located in Ninh Hoa, to the north of Nha Trang. The orphanage provides a loving home to many orphans of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. We contacted the head nun to learn the orphanage’s most pressing needs, and set up a trip.
Our team loaded up a truck with essential supplies, and were greeted at the orphanage by smiling children, all of whom helped unload the supplies and carry them into the common room. We brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, racks of eggs, bags of bean varieties, cans of sardines, bottles of soy sauce, bottles of cooking oil, packages of milk, packages of seasonings, and a range of cleaning products.
To make the event fun for the children, our team handed out yummy pastries, which were a big hit with the little ones. Our volunteers spent a few hours chatting and playing with the children. They gave us a tour of the newly constructed facilities, and their amazing gardens in the back. It was a wonderful visit!
