On July 21, 2019 we visited the Thien Tam Orphanage to celebrate their anniversary. Thien Tam is a loving home to a small group of orphans, located just south of Nha Trang. The caretakers have spent 15 years running the orphanage, and the local church put on an anniversary party for the orphans and the caretakers. They set up a stage, gave speeches, and the children performed a dance they had learned in school. It was a lovely celebration!
After returning to the orphanage, our team brought lots of essential supplies and foodstuff to the orphanage. We brought bags of rice, packages of instant noodles, milk, eggs, bags of bean varieties, packages of seasonings, bottles of fish sauce, bottles of soy sauce, canned meats, cooking oil, packages of yogurt, and a fruity treat for the children.
The children were finishing their studies while our team brought all the supplies into the common room. Afterwards, the children helped carry everything into the kitchen. Our team then brought out packages of the yummy fruit snack, che, and the children sat in the dining hall and enjoyed their snack.
This visit was made possible through a donation from the BEI Foundation.
Thank you!!!
