In late August we visited the Lac Thien Orphanage with essential supplies and gifts for the Mid-Autumn Festival. We coordinated with the nuns at the orphanage and learned of their most pressing needs. We did lots of shopping, loaded up a van, and our team of volunteers drove out to the orphanage. The children helped carry everything inside and stacked the provisions in the main common room. We brought bags of rice, bean varieties, cooking oil, laundry supplies, soaps and shampoos, items for the elderly at the orphanage, and bags of snacks for the children.

As a fun surprise, we brought many paper lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The children had lots of fun putting them together and waving them about. It was a lovely visit!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Michelle Nguyen, Molly Phillips, Dane Sawmiller, and Nancy Ching. Thank you!!!
