In early October 2020 we had a fun visit at the Nhan Ai Orphanage. We had reached out to the nuns and asked if there was anything they were in need of, and they told that they could use a new freezer. We arranged delivery of a large freezer, and many of the children gathered around when it arrived.

We wanted to do something fun for the children, so arranged for a banh xeo lunchtime feast. Banh xeo is a crispy, stuffed rice pancake, and it made over a special grill. The caretakers cooked the banh xeo on outdoor grills, then everyone sat at the communal tables for a yummy feast. So fun!

This charity trip was made possible through donations from an anonymous donor at Intel and Dan, Van, and Devin Haynes. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE

Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home.
