In October 2022 we had a lovely visit with the children at the Dai An Orphanage. After speaking with the orphanage caretakers, we made a detailed list of food and general supplies they were in need of. Our team of volunteers bought everything on the list at local markets in Nha Trang, loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage.
After we arrived, the children helped stack all the supplies next to their gardens. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, ramen, milk, salt, ground pork, chicken, meat pies, fish, shrimp, squid, packages of noodles, fresh fruit including guava, melons, oranges, apples, and mangos, soap, and, cleaning products.
As a yummy treat, our team prepared fruit drinks for everyone. So fun!
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE
The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
