In April 2023 our team visited the Thien Tam Orphanage and had a wonderful day with the children. We had spoken to the caretakers and let them know that we wanted to bring food and general supplies for the month. Also, there was a birthday this month, which was an excellent reason to bring cake and snacks.
After taking down a detailed list of items the orphanage needed, our team bought all the provisions at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to see the children. When our team arrived, the kids were excellent helpers and unpacked everything and stacked all the supplies in the main common room.
On this charity trip, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, yogurt, sausages, seasonings, frozen pork, canned fish, dried shrimp, cheese, soy sauce, milk, cooking oil, fresh vegetables, toiletries, and brooms.
To celebrate the birthday, we brought a birthday cake and everyone got to enjoy a delicious slice. Next, the children sat at the long communal table and had iced bubble tea drinks. Such a fun day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 12 young children.
