In September 2021 we arranged to have lots of food and general supplies delivered to the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. With the city still restricting travel due to COVID, the orphanage is not receiving visitors or donations. We wanted to make sure they had everything they needed, so reached out to the caretakers and made a detailed list of items they were running low on. Our team coordinated with local markets and had everything delivered to the orphanage.
The children helped carry everything inside and gathered in the main common room. We brought sweet rice, cooking oil, hot sauce, soy sauce, rice, eggs, sugar, mung beans, instant pho, seasonings, detergent, toilet cleaner, floor soap, dish soap, masks, hand sanitizer, and toiletries.
The children enjoyed snacks and had a fun time. The caretakers also sent up some lovely pictures of the children playing outside, and carrying lanterns for the annual Moon Festival. So fun!
This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations from the family of Dr Chad & Kim-Loan McDuffie and their children Delaney, Keagan & Anderson. Thank you!!!
