In September 2021 we arranged to have lots of food and essential supplies delivered to the Dai An Orphanage. Vietnam remains in a strict COVID lockdown, and the orphanages are not receiving visitors. That means our team of volunteers cannot visit in person, but we are still determined to bring the children aid.

We contacted the caretakers at Dai An and made a list of their current needs. Our team worked with local markets and had everything delivered to the orphanage. We brought eggs, fresh meats, packages of glass noodles, instant pho, dried shrimp, sugar, black beans, macaroni noodles, shampoo, dish soap, and toiletries.

The children arranged everything in the courtyard next to the gardens, then everyone gathered around for some yummy snacks. It was a lovely day!

This charity trip was made possible through the continued support of Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE

The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
