On September 22, 2018 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage with lots of essential supplies and lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Sunflower Orphanage is located in the heart of Nha Trang, and cares for a large group of children, most of whom are teenagers. The caretakers provide a loving home to these amazing children. We asked the caretakers what their most pressing needs were, and they gave us a detailed list of supplies.

Our team brought bags of sweet rice, baby formula, packages of white noodles, boxes of yellow noodles, seasonings, bottles of fish sauce, body wash, diapers, and dish soap. This is also the time of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam, which is a particularly fun holiday for children. In addition to eating traditional yummy treats such as moon cakes, they also get lanterns they carry about in the evening. After the children helped our team bring in the supplies into the common room, we handed out treats, moon cakes, and lanterns to everyone. It was lots of fun!

This charity visit was made possible through the kind donations of Scott Huynh.

Thank you!!!
