In February 2023 we had a fun visit with the children at the Thien Tam Orphanage. We spoke with the orphanage caretakers and made a list of items they needed this month. Our team did all the shopping at local markets and drove out to the orphanage.
On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, yogurt, milk, seaweed, sausages, laughing cow cheese, mung beans, peanuts, sugar, seasonings, sriracha, ketchup, cooking oil, oyster sauce, penne noodles, egg noodles, rock sugar, mushrooms, and fresh vegetables.
As a fun surprise, one of the children had a birthday and we brought a birthday cake, snacks, and presents for everyone to enjoy. Then our volunteers and the children sat down for a big lunch. It was a lovely day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 12 young children.
