In February 2024 we had a fun visit to the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children. After speaking to the caretakers, me made a detailed list of items they needed for the month. Our team of volunteers bought everything at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to the home.

When we arrived, some of the children were having snack time in the dining hall. They helped our team stack everything in the common room and everyone gathered round. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of ramen, racks of eggs, milk, sausages, cooking oil, school supplies, seasonings, varieties of nuns, and snacks.

Our team then handed out balloons and the children had lots of fun playing in the courtyard. It was a wonderful day!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Philip Doughty, Geneva Palatini, Elaine Nguyen, an anonymous donor, and through the kindness of a family in the USA. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE HY VONG HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

Located in the Suoi Cat district to the west of Nha Trang, the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders and disabilities whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving and caring environment for a group of amazing children.
