In February 2024 we had lots of food and general supplies delivered to the Khanh Son Charity Home and School. Located in a remote region of Khanh Hoa province, the home takes care of children from poor families in the area. We contacted the head nun and let her know that we wanted to provide general supplies for the month. She gave us a detailed list and local markets had everything delivered.

We brought bags of rice, bottles of cooking oil, bottles of fish sauce, boxes of ramen, toothpaste, body wash, and laundry detergent.

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Steven Burger and an anonymous donor. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE KHANH SON CHARITY HOME AND SCHOOL

Located far to the southwest of Nha Trang, Khanh Son is a rugged mountainous region with scattered farming villages, all in poverty. Composed mainly of ethnic Raglay minorities, children do not often attend school or receive the proper care. In 2016, Sister Huong and several other nuns founded the home and school for the children of the poor communities in the region. It is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Some of the children stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The nuns provide a nurturing environment for all, ensure the children attend local public schools, and offer free daycare, kindergarten, and after school tutoring lessons.
