On February 16, 2020 we visited the Thien Tam Orphanage with lots of general supplies plus a tasty treat for the children. We coordinated with the caretakers and learned the orphanage’s most pressing needs. Our team bought everything at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out for a charity trip.
We brought bags of rice, varieties of instant noodle packages, dried squid, dried shrimp, dried mushrooms, garlic, onions, fish sauce, cooking oil, shampoo, vitamin C, and protective masks. As a treat for the children, we brought sweet drinks with fruit. The children helped carry everything into the orphanage, then helped us prepare the fruit snacks. It was a lovely visit!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
