In June 2024 we had a lovely visit at Hy Vong. We had spoken to the caretakers ahead of time and asked what items we could bring this month. They gave us a detailed list, and our team of volunteers bought everything at local markets before heading out to the home.
The children were in the courtyard when we arrived and gathered together for a yummy treat. We prepared bubble tea drinks for all to enjoy. Next, we stacked all the month’s provisions on the main steps. On this visit, we brought varieties of milk and tea, fresh fruit, eggs, canned meat, canned fish, sausages, packages of noodles, meat pies, pork, dried fish, rice crackers, fabric softener, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies.
Our team stayed a while and played lots of fun games with the children in the courtyard. It was a wonderful day!

ABOUT THE HY VONG HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in the Suoi Cat district to the west of Nha Trang, the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders and disabilities whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving and caring environment for a group of amazing children.
