On May 6, 2017 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage with lots of essential supplies for the orphanage, and all new sandals for every orphan. Sunflower is a loving home to teenage orphans, located in the heart of Nha Trang. Its sister orphanage, Dai An, cares for younger children in a countryside setting. The orphanages depend on donations to survive, and we contacted the caretakers at Sunflower about their most pressing needs. Our team loaded up a van with supplies, and came to the orphanage with milk, sugar, boxes of noodles, dish soap, floor soap, hats, seasonings, diapers (for Dai An), and brand new sets of sandals for all of the children. We passed out treats and balloons to the children, and they were eager to put on their new sandals. It was a fun visit!
This trip was made possible through the kind donations of Dieu-Thuyen Dinh and Dell Computers, Dan Haynes and AT&T, Daniel Cole, JL Support Services, an anonymous donor from AT&T, and an anonymous donor in the USA. Thank you!!!
